1. The service

Readhem is a reading application. We publish interactive short stories. Some stories are free; others may be paid. While you read, the interface stays out of the way. We may change, add, or withdraw stories.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 16 to create an account. You must provide a real email address and keep your password secret. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at if you think someone else is using it.

Paid purchases, when offered, are intended for adults with legal capacity (18 in ) unless we state otherwise at checkout.

3. Stories and intellectual property

Stories, text, design, and software on Readhem belong to us or our licensors. You may read them through the service for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, scrape, republish, or train models on the stories without written permission.

4. Purchases

When paid stories launch, the price, VAT, and refund rules will be shown before you pay. Consumer rights under and EU law apply, including a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts where that right is not excluded because the digital content has been supplied and you have consented to immediate performance. We will say so clearly at checkout.

We will store which stories you bought so you can read them again after you sign in. Card data is processed by the payment provider, not by us.

5. Acceptable use

Do not attack, overload, or reverse engineer the service; do not bypass paywalls or access controls; do not use the service for unlawful content. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, after notice where that is reasonable.

6. Availability

We aim to keep Readhem available but do not promise uninterrupted access. Maintenance, faults, or events outside our control may take the site down.

7. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited under law. Otherwise, to the extent permitted, we are not liable for indirect loss (such as lost profit or data on your device), and our total liability for a claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or €50 if you have not paid us.

Free stories are provided as-is. Fiction is fiction; it is not advice.
